The Curds&co team will celebrate 8 years of bringing great cheese and happiness to Brookline with one big month of thanks and celebration before closing our doors on Friday, September 12th. 

As you may know, we have been actively searching for a new team to own the store since we have moved to Sicily in 2023. It was our hope and dream to keep our fab team of cheese mongers slinging the Swiss and pouring the sauv blanc. Unfortunately, our search a new owner has not been successful. 

But if you know us, you know we are going out on a high note. We are winding down the business by kicking up the fun. We have lots of deliciousness that needs to find new homes so we hope you’ll find lots of reasons to come, stock up, use your gift cards, come to one of our last classes, taste cheeses, and buy gifts. A monger is happiest when they are busy and we are counting on you to help make this a joyous, final month of busyness. There will be a jar on the counter for our “monger after-care fund” which will be split amongst the team and added to their severance. Feel free to show your support to our dynamo crew!!! 

A note of thanks

This November our daughters Becky and Abi  put their plans on pause and selflessly jumped in to keep the store running while we continued this search. We could not have managed this last year without them both. Also, special thanks to our landlord Richard Allen who graciously let us continue our lease long enough to give it one more push for our search. If you know anyone looking for a space… we love this corner of Brookline Village!

And most importantly, thanks to every monger ever who donned a C&Co apron. These 8 years have been amazing and you all have been some of the greatest humans I’ve ever known. You are what will be missed most in our little hamlet of cheesedom. ❤️

FAQ

Q:What will happen to your classes?
A: All classes scheduled after September 12th will be cancelled and be refunded or switched to an earlier class if desired.

Q: What about gift cards?!
A: There has never been a better time to buy cheese, come in and stock up on all sorts of goodies before we close on Sept 12. The earlier you come, the more the selection.

Q: Will there be catering and grilled cheeses?A: At this point the plan is to keep filling cheese board tray orders thru Labor Day Weekend and Grilled cheeses as long as supplies and inventive recipes last.
